Things you'll do in this role :

Take ownership of deliverables, ensuring Isometric's biomass-based carbon removal science is rigorous and up-to-date. Collaborate with carbon removal suppliers to understand their processes and support customer needs.
Develop and refine MRV protocols to address net negativity, durability, uncertainty, and additionality in biomass-based carbon removal. Design leakage mitigation frameworks and streamline compliance evaluations with verification and technology teams.
Engage with academia, national labs and industry partners to stay informed about sustainable biomass research and technology development.

Things we're looking for :

A PhD degree in environmental science, forestry, agriculture, agro-economics, or a related field. Highly qualified applicants with a Master's degree will be considered.

An interdisciplinary technical background in forestry, land use change or biomass sustainability. Experience analyzing biomass supply chains. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards governing biomass use is benefitial.

A collaborative spirit, a solution-oriented mindset and a track record of delivering innovative and robust solutions in response to complex technical problems.

This role isn't for you if :
