What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Associate position at ISOTEC INTERNATIONAL, INC.?
We are a specialty chemical manufacturing seeking shipping & receiving help within our manufacturing facility in Canton, GA. We currently operate in 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8AM. - 5 PM. M- F. with a 1 hour lunch break. We do not tend to work weekends.
Be mindful that this job is in a fast paced warehouse environment. You will have to be able to pick up at minimum 50lbs, will be operating on a fork lift, and will be need to be computer literate.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and receiving paperwork is handed over to Purchasing.
- Prepare shipments, print shipping labels and shipping documents and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly.
- Receive incoming shipments.
- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Properly label all hazardous materials
- Responsible for reporting any returned product to the Plant Manager and Customer Accounts Coordinator as it arrives.
- Obtain freight quotes and schedule freight pickups and deliveries.
- Responsible for utilizing prescribed rotation practices of raw materials and finished goods in stock; following FIFO.
Education
- Experience Minimum - High School Diploma or GED
Specific Skills
- Fork Lift Certified. (or will be certified upon hire)
- Basic computer literacy: Microsoft Office, TMS system, ERP system
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in hot or cold climates.
- Self-starter that responds to direction and assumes responsibility for completing tasks on time.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to balance competing priorities and adapt to changing environments; many forces impact this position that are outside of the coordinators control; candidate must be able to handle frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Attendance and punctuality, must consistently be at work on time.
- Must have physical stamina to work in a fast paced environment for 8-10 hours.
- Must be able to accurately weigh materials using different types of scales.
- Able to obtain all necessary certifications.
- Ability to tolerate and wear safety glasses during working hours in the plant and other safety equipment.
- Experience preferred but not required for eligibility, in a previous shipping/receiving roll, warehousing, or chemical production facility.
