What are the responsibilities and job description for the AWS Solution Architect position at iSpace, Inc.?

Title : Architect L2 (Enterprise Grade Cloud / Big Data Systems and Applications)

Location : Torrance, CA (Hybrid of onsite 2-3 days / week if needed along with remote).

This Architect will primarily be working on Projects & Initiatives to deliver Solution Architectures and Design Patterns for data platforms and product scope and requirements, delivering ARB deliverables and obtaining approvals from the Enterprise Architecture Review Board.

The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in making Architectural Decisions over multiple AWS services. This position is very technology-intense when it comes to solutioning and decision making with strong knowledge & understanding of various cloud services currently in the market are essential skills for this position.

Responsibilities will include the following : Drive business and IT alignment to design and leverage reusable cloud architecture solutions.
Collaborate with IT management to define and develop technology strategy, technology standards, capabilities, roadmaps, and practices.
Serve as a Technical Expert addressing problems relating to systems storage, compute, integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration with P / SaaS solutions using WAF principles and industry best practices.
Interact and consult with appropriate Business Analysts, Project Managers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Developers to understand application / project requirements and define architectural solutions to meet those requirements .
Work with the Enterprise Solutions Stakeholders on design review and approval processes.
Work with Application Delivery Teams in the development of services, reusable patterns, components, standards, and frameworks required to support Client's business strategy.
Produce architecture diagrams, workflows and models using Visio, Draw.io, and other tools.
Evaluate technology solutions, services, and vendor offerings through RFP / Q / I & SOW process
Ensure that projects follow the prescribed development life cycle and meets quality standards.
Assist with analyzing and recommending software acquisitions and alternative solutions / methodologies / strategies and tools.
Keep current with trends and technological innovations in the automotive industry and make appropriate development recommendations.
Identify risks associated with architecture design, delivery, component, or application implementation .

Required Skills and Expertise :

BA / BS in information technology, computer science, misc. or related field or equivalent work experience.

Strong understanding and working knowledge of software engineering, software development, solution architecture and implementation of medium to large scale systems across multiple platforms.

15 years of experience designing or configuring complex Enterprise Grade Cloud & Big Data Systems and / or Applications.

10 years of experience working on relational and No-SQL database architecture and design.

Top Must Have Skills

Hands on experience in making Architectural Decisions over multiple AWS services

Strong knowledge & understanding of various cloud services currently in the market

Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and business requirements into technical capabilities, manage expectations, and collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.

Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS, Azure / GCP), cloud-native architecture, and cloud services related to data (e.g., serverless services, scalable compute & storage, data lakes, cloud databases, data warehouses, etc.).

Expertise in designing APIs and data integration platforms (ETL / ELT tools), microservices, data mesh, data fabric, and streaming, middleware to enable seamless data flow between systems while practicing data governance and security.

Experience in architecting & delivering transactional and analytical solutions including Client and AI solutions using waterfall and agile methodologies (preferably SAFe).

Excellent articulation, documentation, presentation, and communication skills exercised in preparing solution architecture diagrams, documents, and engaging enterprise architecture teams for reviews / approvals

Demonstrates a strong technical aptitude of multi - tier and cross - platform architectures across the enterprise.

In - depth knowledge of design requirements.

Skilled in creating architecture diagrams, workflows and models using Visio, Draw.io, and other tools.

Strong ability to define systems and integration models .

Proven ability to serve as a technical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration.

Strong understanding of the information technology landscape stretching from infrastructure, network, client, server, emerging technology standards and trends.
