ispace US is looking for a highly motivated and talented DevOps / Software Test Engineer to join its new team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Design and execute tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software systems
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and identify potential issues
  • Identify and document defects and issues found during testing.
  • Working with software developers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field. We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and / or experience
  • 5 years relevant experience in spacecraft and / or launch vehicle software development
  • Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
  • Experience with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) software test beds
  • Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
  • Experience with Bash scripting
  • Experience with Linux network management
  • Experience with network debugging
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Collaborative team spirit
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrates professional experience in launch vehicle and / or spacecraft software systems
  • Experience with spacecraft embedded C / C flight software, found test software, and simulation software.
  • Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced collaborative interdisciplinary team environment
  • Software quality practices associated with the organization like NASA, FAA, etc.
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong coordination, organization and communication abilities
  • Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced design and development environment
  • Schedule may vary depending on program development needs; flexibility required
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary based upon experience - $110,000 - $140,000. The salary range posted is a targeted range for budget of position. Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
