DCF is looking for a motivated Systems Architect III that will provide innovative solutions within a diverse Enterprise environment with multiple, cloud services and on-premises infrastructure components. The candidate will have expert level troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze current technologies used within our organization and determine ways to improve performance and provide stability to backend services. A high-level of soft skills in collaborating with Information Technology professionals within the organization to ensure the proper infrastructure components are designed, delivered, managed, available, working as designed for projects or operations, and that best practices and organizational IT policies are being followed.
The Systems Architect III will provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the administration, maintenance and support of numerous backend systems that support the agencies application development, design, security, integration and desktop infrastructure. They will have responsibilities in directing and managing the workload of team members and managing the on call support functions for the operations team.
The individual will work closely with Information Technology professionals to ensure technical components are available for projects and working properly. Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates or new services. They will be well versed in projecting for possible challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope changes to the project. They will work closely with the supervisor and project teams to successfully monitor the progress of initiatives, provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions, and define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution. They will have the ability to direct a small team in completing tasks, improving on operational support or maintenance, and document processes as needed.
This position will be a technical lead for our backend infrastructure services. These services or systems include areas within the Microsoft Services arena including but not limited to Active Directory (AD) services including ADFS, Group Policy, Distributed File Services, Azure subscriptions, DHCP, and networking protocols and services. This person will be responsible for third (3rd ) level technical support functions for the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), monitoring tools, multi-factor authentication, storage and backup, Power Shell scripting, and numerous customized off the shelf applications that have been implemented at DCF. A high-level understanding of networking protocols and network connectivity will be required.
