Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Associate Attorney with a strong problem-solving mindset and a drive to litigate cases. As part of a collaborative, client-focused team, you will handle a variety of personal injury cases from initial intake through trial. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload and be involved in all stages of litigation, including negotiations and trial work. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who is not afraid to take on complex cases and is passionate about achieving the best results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle personal injury cases from intake to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
- Prepare and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Develop case strategies and represent clients in negotiations and settlements.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them updated on case developments.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to efficiently manage caseloads.
- Participate in case strategy meetings and contribute innovative ideas for problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- 0-3 years of experience in personal injury law (trial experience a plus, but not required).
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and critical thinking.
- Comfort and confidence in litigating cases, including taking cases to trial.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience handling personal injury cases.
- Trial experience (even limited) or a strong desire to take cases to trial.
- Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
- Ability to work remotely and manage your workload effectively.
