Job Description
Join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team, dedicated to ensuring the reliability and uptime of critical systems in a 24/7/365 data center environment. This role emphasizes the consistent maintenance and operation of essential building systems, including non-data center facilities as assigned. The ideal candidate will lead by example, delivering excellence in O&M and maintaining a proactive approach to system reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of all tasks in the O&M program for assigned Data Center and non-Data Center spaces.
- Utilize and train team members on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to monitor and track all maintenance activities.
- Manage and complete preventive maintenance (PM) and work orders as scheduled, ensuring timely closure.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for operational and maintenance procedures.
- Identify critical spare parts requirements based on system age, obsolescence, and performance history.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to execute maintenance and projects safely, prioritizing the critical load and team safety.
- Collaborate with safety, security, and client teams to identify and report potential risks to management.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements or scope modifications as needed.
- Respond promptly to building system alarms, prioritizing critical load preservation, minimizing equipment damage, and performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct operational modifications (e.g., critical switching, lockout/tagout procedures) to facilitate safe and effective work by specialized subcontractors.
- Perform quality audits to ensure adherence to high standards of workmanship.
- Be available for emergency response and corrective maintenance activities on a 24/7 basis.
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental standards as defined by client and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience in technical facility maintenance supporting data center operations.
- 6–8 years of relevant technical experience in data center O&M.
- Experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers (7–10 years preferred).
- Proficiency in Work Order Control procedures and CMMS.
- Demonstrated experience in subcontractor and vendor management.
- Skilled in capacity planning, reporting, and managing key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proficient in troubleshooting systems, stabilizing operations, and managing equipment alarms using graphical user interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance tools, shop practices, load calculations, balancing, fault tolerance, and single point of failure analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, technical manuals, and regulatory documents.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and use of personal computers.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with management and clients.
Certifications
- Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) preferred.

- Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 100 pounds.

The annual salary range for this position is $130000.00 per year - $150000.00 per year . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills, and may vary from the range listed above.
