POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the district’s I.T. Department which encompasses network, I.T. systems, telecommunications, audio/visual, video surveillance, building technical support, and computer hardware repair. This role supervises and evaluates core technical staff while providing subject matter expertise for planning, installation, support, and maintenance of I.T. infrastructure. The Director works collaboratively with district leadership and vendors to ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performing technology environment that supports both instructional and operational needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Academic Leadership and Student Success Leadership:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Academic Leadership and Student Success Leadership:
- Manage and mentor core IT staff; provide training, performance evaluations, and support professional development to build a high-performing team.
- Ensure effective and high-quality building technology support for staff and students.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Possess knowledge of and adhere to Governing Policies and District Regulations and Procedures.
- Participate in special projects as assigned and perform related duties and key responsibilities consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
- Cross-collaborate across departments in an effort to serve students and families and meet our District goals.
- Collaborate with district leadership, school administrators, and educators to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Oversee the design, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networks, I.T. Systems including 365/Entra, servers, communications and surveillance systems ensuring high availability and performance.
- Direct the establishment and enforcement of robust cybersecurity protocols to protect district data and ensure business continuity with appropriate backup strategies.
- Manage the IT infrastructure budget, negotiate contracts with vendors, and oversee procurement processes to secure necessary hardware and software.
- Create and analyze multi-year projections considering budget and student/staff needs.
- Direct district-wide computer and A/V equipment replacement cycles, standards selection, repairs such that student learning is uninterrupted, and teacher and administrator performance is unimpeded.
- Plan and administer equipment supply and performance of 1:1 student device initiative, ensuring appropriate student to device ratios, performance, and replacement cycles
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years’ progressively responsible experience in computer networking in an enterprise wide system. Further, the individual will possess:
- Proven track record of positive human relations and communications skills and the ability to work as a member of a service-oriented team.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft technologies is required.
- Strong understanding of and experience in networking and WAN/LAN network topologies.
- Demonstrated willingness to remain current in the field of computer networking.
