About the Role :
The Director of IT Operations is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing IT operations to ensure secure, high-performing, and cost-effective technology solutions that support current and future business objectives. This position serves as the primary IT leader, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across all facets of IT infrastructure, security, and enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide leadership and management for IT operations, including performance management, development plans, and employee engagement.
Oversee IT service providers delivering infrastructure services such as End User Services, Service Desk, IT Infrastructure (cloud and on-premise), Network Infrastructure, Office 365, Security, and Access Management.
Ensure the successful maintenance and enhancement of ERP and MRP systems to support scalable business growth.
Collaborate with implementation partners, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to develop and deliver IT solutions, including requirement gathering, design, configuration, and testing.
Manage IT suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with financial and contract requirements.
Provide technical leadership in defining and implementing IT standards, systems, and capabilities aligned with business objectives.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies, maintaining secure configurations and timely security updates.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across IT systems and services.
Lead IT projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
Manage IT operations and project budgets.
Maintain compliance with audit standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee IT disaster recovery planning and execution, including annual testing.
Ensure documentation of IT processes, architecture, and workload management best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS : Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience :
Proven track record in delivering secure, reliable, and cost-effective IT operations with reliance on strategic service providers.
Experience managing IT relationships with external vendors and business leaders, preferably within a manufacturing environment at the plant level.
Background in ERP system implementation and continuous improvement.
Experience managing and leading remote teams.
Strong communication skills with experience engaging executive leadership and various stakeholders. Technical Skills :
Strong expertise in cloud architecture, cloud and network operations, and IT security.
Ability to design and implement technical solutions that align with business needs.
Knowledge of business intelligence tools and reporting solutions.
Experience with IT disaster recovery planning and execution. Soft Skills :
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to stay up-to-date with evolving IT technologies and best practices.
Strong communication skills to articulate IT strategy and vision effectively.
