Mailroom Supervisor – Baltimore, MD (FT)

IST Management Services is sourcing for a direct hire, permanent, full-time, supervisor position in Baltimore, MD. This position will work full time hours per day in a financial institution mail room.

IST is a rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company and the largest American privately-owned facilities management company. Founded in 1997, the company is a two-time recipient of the Human Resources Professional Excellence Award granted by the Society for Human Resource Management. This is a full time direct hire position handling package services and mail services as well as supervision of our on-site team. We observe a business professional dress code. Must be willing to cross train for potential advancement opportunities!

Hours: Monday through Friday,11:30am to 8:00pm (need flexibility to cover later shift when needed)

Compensation: While the compensation for this position is finally dependent upon the candidate’s experience/qualifications, the approximate compensation for this position will be $20.00 to $21.00 to be paid hourly.

NOTE: This position is in the financial services industry and requires an extensive background check

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Maintain effective written and oral communications with clients and employees
  • Prioritize work and deploy staff as required to ensure customer needs are met in regards to on-time delivery of services and quality of work
  • Ensures all work standards are met on a consistent basis
  • Ensures all work standards are met on a consistent basis by IST site employees.
  • Accurately prepare and distribute management reports to the client in a timely and consistent manner
  • Insures maximization of productivity through efficient use of standard operating procedures; D evelops new procedures to improve the operation of the sites and to lower operating costs
  • Supervises, trains, and coaches employees and develops a work environment that promotes high motivation and customer satisfaction
  • Ensures the proper and safe use of all equipment used by employees and completes tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • One year experience supervising or managing similar operations preferred
  • Litigation Copying/scanning/mailing, Xerox equipment experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and familiarity with computer basics is preferred; Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and other employees both one-on-one and during meetings
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques to manage, motivate and train employees; A bility to prepare reports and present information to customers
  • Must have attention to detail and critically think through and resolve problems; Must have customer service skills and be able to maintain a consistent, high level of service; M ust have the ability to multi-task, manage multiple accounts and establish priorities
  • A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to and from work
  • Lifting up to 55 pounds; s tanding for long periods of time; s ignificant walking; Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
