The responsibilities for the position of Senior Transportation Planner include:
- Collaborating with colleagues, clients, and agencies; providing the support and input needed to efficiently deliver successful transportation planning projects. These projects will range from multimodal and active transportation corridor studies, transportation safety plans, transit planning and operations, and other planning-related projects in emerging service areas.
- Applying transportation planning principles, using standard industry evaluations and analyses to deliver excellent products.
- Supervising and mentoring team members in the Transportation Planning practice area.
- Developing, conducting, and ensuring internal and external project quality process.
- Writing clear and articulate technical memorandums, reports, and studies.
- Partnering with engineers to support the transition of projects from the planning and scoping phase to the design phase.
- Evolving innovation, best practices, and efficiency within transportation planning and across Isthmus.
- Evidencing continued commitment to individual, company, and industry improvement.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate Degree from an accredited college or university in Urban and Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, Environmental or Urban Studies, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Professional Certification such as PTP, AICP, PE, or PTOE.
- Ten or more years of transportation planning and/or engineering experience.
- Project management experience.

- Ability to maintain productivity in an autonomous environment.
- Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS.

Compensation and Benefits
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000–$120,000/year for a 40-hour base work week. Compensation will be based upon experience, education, skill level, and other factors.
