What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Parts Pricing Analyst position at Isuzu?
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for a broad range of pricing activities required to maintain all parts prices as competitive as reasonably possible. Activities include basic market research, analysis of competitive pricing programs, implementation and evaluation of cost price increases, establishing cost and dealer pricing in unison with the SAP Master Data Governance provisioning process, maintenance of pricing files, pricing of third-party value-added services, and resolving variances between negotiated and invoiced prices. Analyzes price adjustments from suppliers and advises management of the impact to profit.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates, coordinates, and implements general cost and dealer pricing for all domestic and internationally sourced parts.
- Develops and implements price changes on a regular basis and resolves variances, inconsistencies, discrepancies, and other file imbalances between negotiated and actual charges and invoiced prices.
- Tracks and analyzes price adjustments from domestic and international suppliers and advises management of the impact to sales and profit.
- Conducts competitive pricing market research and makes recommendations to management for specific parts prices, profit margins, parts pricing structures, and competitive positioning.
- Controls, monitors, and administers charges and pricing for third-party value-added services, including the Isuzu Retail Inventory System (IRIS). Ensures proper cost allocation to the companys financial records.
- Tracks, develops, and implements cost and dealer pricing utilizing the SAP Master Data Governance provisioning process.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Parts Pricing Supervisor
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business or Economics, or equivalent directly related work experience
- Minimum three years of pricing, purchasing, or finance experience
KNOWLEDGE
- Parts mechanical fit and function knowledge
- Basic accounting and information systems knowledge
- Must be familiar with basic pricing concepts, knowledge of profit margins and markups, and their effect on pricing structure, and laws concerning price fixing, dumping, etc.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office applications
- SAS programming skills preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
- SAP ERP system experience
PHYSICAL STANDARDS
The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less.
Pay scale for this position is between $70,632 and $88,290. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
