I2X Technologies is seeking a RF Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs. This position will be on-site and will require an active TS/SCI.
- Daily configuration and operation, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrective and preventive maintenance actions necessary to repair and restore Communication and SATCOM systems
- Use general purpose test equipment and specialized test equipment in the performance of system corrective and preventive maintenance
- Perform procedures and processes used in operations, maintenance and logistics actions
- Quickly respond to circuit outages and coordinates with distant end facilities and local Systems/Users, when necessary, to restore communications services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor SW configuration issues to restore testing operations
- Assist with site physical and information security, perform minor COMSEC custodian duties, perform equipment Custodian Account responsibilities, perform records/configuration management duties, complete forward supply point/bench stock logistics duties, coordinate calibration of test equipment, and complete small computer repair duties
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI
- Bachelors degree and minimum 5 years of professional experience
- Knowledge of Antennas, RF Electronics, or Electronically Steerable Antennas (ESA)
- Must understand signal flow and end-to-end configuration diagrams
- Experience in modeling, simulation, and/or analysis of RF Systems, including Space-to-Ground and Payload Systems
- Hands-on experience performing electrical, mechanical, and/or RF troubleshooting, hardware installation, and testing, and fault corrections on SATCOM, Broadband communications and/or satellite ground systems equipment
- Ability to analyze and evaluate complex satellite test data, extensive experience working with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and vector signal analyzers and their associated data.
- Experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR), fiberscopes, multi-meter, BER test sets, and other RF/electronics test equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience operating and loading COMSEC equipment as well as an understanding of COMSEC policies and procedures
- Familiarity with TCP/IP network architectures including routers, switches, firewalls, and routing protocols
- Experience with Linux Operating System and basic command line skills
