Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator - Consultant to join our team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and help desk support, focusing on user support and administering some day-to-day operations within our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies and systems hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage held emails in Mimecast as part of anti-phishing triage.
- Conduct M365 quarantine monitoring and manage WhatsApp notifications/broadcasts.
- Perform print server checks, manage printer listings, and track printer toner levels.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking systems in Absolute Computrace.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and light networking issues.
- Participate in ongoing desktop and Azure cloud-related projects, collaborating with our Infrastructure and Cybersecurity team to deliver on initiatives.
- Enroll and manage iPhones using Microsoft Intune.
- Conduct desktop and server builds, install operating system software, apply patches, and perform upgrades.
- Track systems alerts, perform weekly systems checks, read logs, and process escalations.
- Research and resolve complex problems that other help desk levels cannot resolve.
- Assist the support desk and infrastructure team with diagnosing long-term problems, finding workarounds, and identifying root causes.
- Analyze and identify trends in issue reporting and devise preventive solutions.
- Assist with H&F Directory/Active Directory concerning personnel changes.
- Utilize PowerShell to manage permissions for mailboxes, calendars, and contacts.
- 5-10 years of experience with Microsoft technologies, though talented candidates committed to rapid learning and capable of hitting the ground running will be considered.
- Professional certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or SCSA are desirable but not required.
- Personable, with a positive, can-do attitude. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Apps and Active Directory.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting (particularly Exchange Online Management) is a plus but not required. We are an Exchange Online environment and can train the right candidate as necessary.
