Desktop Support -100% Onsite -[in Madison, Wisconsin]
Duration: Long Term
Must be current Wisconsin residents
DETAILS:
This Desktop Support position provides expert technical assistance in desktop application and hardware preparation. Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting Windows OS, desktop applications, and mobile devices (Android/iOS).
- Handling escalated support issues from the internal Service Desk.
- Tasks involving installation, maintenance, and application support.
- May lead/direct the work of others.
- Creativity, self-direction, and prioritization are critical.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Independently performing desktop support tasks.
- Advanced troubleshooting and analytical/problem-solving skills.
Knowledge in:
- Remote Desktop Management Tools.
- Microsoft MECM/SCCM.
- Active Directory.
- VMware and virtualization tools.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
- Technical writing and documentation.
- Familiarity with Mac OS X and MS Office products.
Experience in:
- Mobile device management (iPad/iPhone/Android).
- Networked multi-function devices (print/fax/copier/scanner).
EQUIPMENT:
Selected candidates must provide their equipment for remote work, meeting these specifications:
- Windows Devices:
- Windows 10, minimum 4GB memory (preferred 8GB ).
- Direct3D 11-compatible graphics card.
- Mac Devices:
- macOS 10.14 or later, minimum 4GB memory (preferred 8GB ).
- Internet: Minimum 20 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload with a wired connection.
INTERVIEW PROCESS:
- Phone or web-based interviews.
- In-person interviews may be required.
- Candidate to provide three references, one of which must be supervisory.
- A real-time screenshot of the candidate must accompany the bid submission.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Background checks and fingerprinting are required for FTI access.
- Candidates must adhere to all DCF work rules and hours.
- Candidates must be located within the U.S. International, and applicants are not eligible.
- ·On-call hours and occasional overtime may be required.
