Job Title : Power BI Developer – Financial Domain (USC, GC only)

Location : NYC, NY

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Power BI Developer with expertise in the Financial Domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and reporting, along with deep knowledge of financial data structures and business processes. The successful applicant will collaborate with business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy interactive and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Visualization : Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders in the financial domain.
Data Modeling : Build and optimize complex data models for financial reporting and analysis, integrating data from various financial systems (e.g., ERP, accounting, CRM).
Collaborate with Business Stakeholders : Work closely with finance teams, business analysts, and other departments to understand financial reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Financial Analysis : Develop and automate financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and key financial metrics.
Performance Optimization : Ensure reports and dashboards are optimized for performance, especially for large and complex datasets.
Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve data discrepancies and issues with existing reports and dashboards.
Documentation : Create detailed documentation for dashboards, reports, and data sources to ensure maintainability and scalability.
Compliance and Governance : Ensure data integrity and adherence to company policies regarding financial data privacy and security.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.

Strong knowledge of Power BI tools, including Power Query, Power BI Service, and Power BI Desktop.

Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and creating complex reports and dashboards.

Familiarity with financial reporting metrics and KPIs (e.g., EBITDA, ROE, P&L, balance sheet).

Proficient in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying.

Strong understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and business finance processes.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and present data insights.

Desired Skills :

13 Years Experience with other reporting tools such as Tableau or QlikView.

Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).

Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
