Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer (Lead Mainframe Platform Engineer)
Location : Pittsburg, PA (Remote in the US)
Responsibilities
Leads teams in clearly defining, with the customer, the most complex requirements, deliverables and timeframes. Escalates issues and make recommendations to resolve them to the appropriate audience.
Leads the most complex root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting IT Infrastructure.
Leads the development and / or delivery of the most complex technical training in technical areas. Mentors less experienced team members in the execution of their duties.
Leads the completion of the most complex project tasks to enable the on time, within budget and scope delivery of IT Infrastructure projects.
Assures compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines and processes.
Other duties as assigned or requested.
Required Experience :
10 plus years' experience with IBM z / Series mainframe
7 years of experience at an expert level z / OS Mainframe Systems Programming background, including SMPE, DB2, IMS, and CICS.
Experience working with vendors to resolve software and systems issues
Skilled at communicating with all levels of management
Good project management skills
Able to work off-hours and weekends and scheduled, 24x7x365 on-call responsibilities.
Ability to learn quickly and apply highly complex and technical concepts in a highly available environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
