What are the responsibilities and job description for the Azure Cloud Architect - US Citizens Only position at IT Hub Inc.?
We are seeking Azure Cloud architect to support our Federal Contact in Arlington VA.
Substantial experience (typically 10 years) performing the following activities:
- Managing cloud operations in a multi-cloud environment with advanced knowledge of one or more cloud platforms (primarily Microsoft Azure)
- Recommending and implementing cloud cost optimization solutions and tools informed by strong knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models
- Driving deep architectural discussions to help customers ensure they are making the most cost-efficient cloud usage choices
- Collaborating with technical stakeholders to incorporate cost management best practices into cloud platforms via tagging, alerting and configurations that support financial monitoring of cloud platforms
- Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement secure, scalable Azure cloud architectures that meet Federal agency requirements.
- Infrastructure Deployment: Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Bicep, Terraform, or PowerShell.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud solutions adhere to Federal security frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53.
- Cloud Migrations: Lead cloud migration projects, including workload assessment, migration strategy, and execution.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud performance and costs.
- Automation & Orchestration: Develop automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and scripting tools.
- Disaster Recovery & Backup: Design and implement resilient disaster recovery strategies.
- Identity & Access Management: Configure Azure AD, RBAC, and other identity management solutions to secure cloud environments.
- Documentation: Develop detailed technical documentation for architecture designs, security controls, and operational procedures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Federal clients, providing technical expertise and guidance.
- Cloud Architect certification is desired
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline. Master's degree and/or project management certification is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
