Qualifications
- 10 years' experience in Linux operating systems (RHEL 7 and higher), including installation, configuration, and administration.
- 4 years of experience working with multiple AWS resources and services with at least one AWS certification.
- In-depth knowledge of k8s environment and troubleshooting workloads running on k8s.
- Experience with container orchestration.
- Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) development, maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Scripting in Ansible, Bash, HCL/Terraform, and Python.
- CI/CD: Knowledge of build pipelines, deployment automation, and Git-based workflows, specifically deploying to AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) clusters.
- Experience in handling RedHat Satellite for managing the patches.
- Strong in Ansible automation.
- Proficiency in server troubleshooting to identify and remediate issues effectively.
- Familiarity with virtual server (VM) migrations and the ability to execute migrations following design standards.
- Experience in system diagnostics, capturing system logs/dumps, and analyzing data to identify and resolve issues.
- Excellent console management skills, specifically with Avocent DS View, to provide administration and operational support.
- Broad understanding of administration, configuration, maintenance, and operational support of Linux systems.
- Ability to handle common services such as access provisioning, security vulnerability management, performance analysis, backup/recovery, license entitlement compliance, and product upgrades.
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with vendor licensing entitlements and ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting latency issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Experience in security patching vulnerability management processes.
- Experience in automating common operational support processes with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, and PowerShell.
- Experience in Compute or Storage Devices is a huge plus.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and support RHEL 7 and above servers.
- Validate and remediate server restarts resulting from automated host (VM) failover and patching events.
- Execute VM migrations in accordance with design standards when required.
- Troubleshoot issues, capture, and analyze system-level logs/dumps, collaborating with vendors as needed according to incident/problem management processes.
- Provide comprehensive administration and operational support for Avocent DS View.
- Handle common services including security vulnerability remediation, performance issues, backup, recovery, licensing, upgrades, and standard operating procedures.
- Investigate and troubleshoot latency issues, implementing appropriate solutions.
- Develop and implement automation solutions for common operational support processes to enhance efficiency.
