In this role you will work as a member of the IT team to handle the support, installation, upgrade, testing, and ongoing maintenance of applications and cloud service technologies to include but not limited to SaaS, PaaS, IaaS. The person in this role will utilize technical, interpersonal, and administrative skills in performing day-to-day work, interacting with developers, end-users, management, service providers, and vendors to maximize platform performance, stability, and uptime. Essential Job Duties :

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Installation and configuration of new application environments
  • Coordinate patching and upgrades
  • Security configuration and user roles management
  • Platform, project, and report performance monitoring and tuning
  • Platform, project, and report capacity monitoring and tuning
  • Platform, project, and report backup & recovery
  • Platform usage & utilization monitoring and reporting
  • Database connectivity configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving platform / system challenges as they arise
  • Development and maintenance of platform policies, standards, processes, procedures, or best practices to include [but not limited to] :

Security

  • Backup / Recovery
  • Disaster Recovery
  • Scheduling
  • User (batch & individual) account management
  • Code-level / release management
  • Monitoring / Tuning
  • Alerting
  • Utilization reporting
  • Delivery of application, developer, and user support within service-level agreements
  • Support of project teams in standards, best practices, and methodologies throughout the enterprise for all types of analytic and ETL applications (mobile, web, office)
  • Resolution of unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
  • Mentoring other team members and provide assistance where needed
  • Vendor management
  • Software license management and compliance
  • Must participate in on-call rotation duties and responsibilities and work outside of core business hours depending on need.
  • Additional Job Duties :

  • Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
  • Follow the company policies, laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and information security.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications :

    Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in the implementation, operations, development, and maintenance of IT systems and / or administration of software functions in multi-platform and multi-system enterprise environments.
  • Highly proficient understanding of design, implementation, and sustainment activities of Information Technology systems.
  • Must have experience with infrastructure management techniques such as change management, problem management, release management, configuration management, and system lifecycle.
  • Has a strong understanding in MS environments including common suites and core business applications.
  • Has a strong understanding of the appropriate environments for assigned applications.
  • Ability to develop efficient and effective program and system solutions in solving light to medium complex business problems.
  • Ability to automate tasks and document them for others to use
  • Ability to take direction from others.
  • Ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve system performance problems or outages.
  • Must be technically proficient in core technologies and methodologies used by the IT team.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technologies and methodologies and apply them to technological and / or business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to upgrade hardware operating system software and third-party software.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and document medium to large product upgrades.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Disaster Recovery team, including scripting and testing for operating systems, third party software, and storage recovery.
  • Experience in project management techniques and the ability to lead projects to a timely successful outcome.
  • Must have strong skills to project / forecast time allocation for project completion.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers and all levels of management in both verbal and written communication.
  • Must be able to effectively work in distributed enterprise work environment.
  • Required Technical Skills :

  • 2 years managing and administering one of the following platforms (or similar) :
  • MS Dynamics
  • Oracle Netsuite
  • Epicor Kinetic
  • Demonstrated experience working on the following operating system platforms :
  • MS Windows
