Job Description:
As a Tier 3 System Administrator at ITNS, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining complex IT environments for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of systems and networks. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, and maintain advanced IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. Ensure the availability, scalability, and reliability of systems to meet client needs.
- Systems Administration: Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments.Perform system installations, upgrades, and patch management. Implement and manage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Network Management: Configure and manage network devices, firewalls, and security appliances. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, including access controls, firewall policies, and antivirus solutions. Assist clients in achieving compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 3 technical support for escalated issues, including complex problem resolution. Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to ensure effective incident resolution.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans. Conduct data backups, perform data restores, and validate backup integrity.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and inventories. Prepare reports and documentation for client audits and reviews.
- Automation and Scripting: Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Client Engagement: Build strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service delivery. Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs and provide proactive solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures.
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Server , Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
