We provide asset recovery and recycling services on all types of computer hardware including desktop, data center and mobile devices to businesses, schools, and government agencies with a focus on responsibly reducing e-waste and putting low cost, working equipment into the hands of people and organizations worldwide that can benefit from its reuse.
Position Overview
The Electronics Test and Repair Technician performs troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing and repairs on a large variety of electronic equipment and I.T. assets which includes but is not limited to:
· Desktop devices such as PC’s, laptops, tablets and mobile phones (both Windows and iOS based devices)
· Servers, networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, access points), storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS)
· Printers, Point of Sale equipment, Audio/Video gear and more
Other tasks include:
· Cleaning and removing labels from equipment
· Critical data security functions including physical and logical data destruction
· Gathering data from equipment and entering the information into the Inventory Management System.
· Inputting test results and assigning grades to items based on the company’s grading system
· Reconfiguring hardware as needed
· Tagging Equipment with inventory labels for warehouse tracking
Requirements and Qualifications
· Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or relevant experience is required
· Broad knowledge of I.T. systems hardware is required
· Strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills required
· Must possess the ability to diagnose and repair a large variety of computer equipment.
· Be able to work with minimum supervision and meet expected requirements in the form of deadlines or quotas
· Be self-motivated and eager to exceed goals
· Be willing to work overtime when required
· Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
