The ideal candidate will bring expert-level experience in designing, installing, and configuring Intelligrants, as well as hands-on knowledge of integrating third-party tools like Python, Heroku PostgreSQL, and Microsoft Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
- Grant Management Software Design: Lead the design and architecture of the Intelligrants system to support disaster recovery grant processes tailored to the unique needs
- System Integration: Work on the integration of Intelligrants with external systems including Heroku PostgreSQL for data storage, Python for automation scripts, and Microsoft Power BI for data reporting and visualization.
- Customization and Configuration: Tailor Intelligrants software configurations and workflows to meet specific disaster recovery requirements, ensuring the system aligns with the State’s operational and regulatory standards.
- Installation and Setup: Install, configure, and test the necessary software packages (e.g., Python, Heroku PostgreSQL) and ensure smooth integration with the Intelligrants platform.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with disaster recovery project teams, stakeholders, and system users to gather requirements, understand workflows, and ensure that the final architecture meets the program’s goals.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams on the best practices for using the Intelligrants system, and troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining the software.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure the software architecture complies with applicable federal, state, and local guidelines. Document all architecture decisions, integrations, and configurations.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Offer ongoing support to resolve technical issues, optimizing the software and data integrations as needed during and after implementation.
- Expert-level experience in designing and implementing Intelligrants grant management software.
- Proficiency in Python for creating custom scripts to automate processes and enhance software functionality.
- Hands-on experience with Heroku PostgreSQL for managing and optimizing database operations.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Power BI and the ability to integrate it with Intelligrants for reporting and data visualization.
- In-depth knowledge of disaster recovery grants management and related software applications, ideally in the context of government or public sector programs.
- Ability to assess the complexity of the State's needs and design scalable, efficient, and compliant solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including technical and non-technical users.
- Proven ability to create technical documentation and perform knowledge transfer activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience working with government or community development grant programs, particularly related to disaster recovery efforts.
- Experience in cloud-based architectures and familiarity with cloud environments like Heroku.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to disaster recovery grants (e.g., HUD, FEMA).
