Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Oversee the performance and development of Automation and Electrical Engineers, ensuring projects are executed to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, professional development, and retention.
- Provide ongoing feedback on employee performance, in line with company policies.
- Resolve internal and external conflicts to maintain positive and effective working relationships.
- Manage resource allocation to meet project schedules, budget, and customer demands.
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Support Project Managers in planning and execution, including defining project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure timely delivery of automation and electrical integration projects while maintaining high standards of quality and cost control.
- Manage project risks and challenges, ensuring the project stays on track.
- Client & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients to understand requirements and expectations, ensuring that project solutions meet their needs.
- Bring together teams with differing viewpoints and work toward a common goal.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in an automation-oriented environment, with a proven track record in managing teams and projects.
- Strong expertise in the design and implementation of automation in process systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) and HMI development and planning.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage quality, cost, and schedule.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to bring diverse perspectives together to reach consensus.
- Adaptable and proactive, willing to take initiative and assume responsibilities outside of normal competencies.
