Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Analyst for a contract role at our client, Fidelity. This is an onsite position located in Westlake, TX (no remote work options). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Python scripting, and a solid understanding of data warehouse standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex data to support business decisions and strategies.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
• Develop, write, and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
• Create Python scripts for data processing, automation, and report generation.
• Maintain and ensure adherence to data warehouse standards and best practices.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely data analysis and reporting.
• Document processes, methodologies, and technical specifications.
• Provide recommendations for improving data quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
  
  

Must Have Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
• Experience with Python scripting for automation and data analysis.
• Knowledge of data warehouse standards and practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4 years of experience in data analysis, with expertise in SQL and Python scripting.
