Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) to join our sleep center team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a key role in diagnosing and managing sleep disorders, ensuring patients receive the highest level of care and follow-up. Key Responsibilities

• Sleep Studies: Set up and monitor polysomnographic sleep studies to assess and analyze patients’ sleep patterns, including respiratory, cardiac, and neurological functions.
• Patient Evaluation: Assess patient sleep data during the study and determine if further evaluation or treatment adjustments are necessary.
• Equipment Management: Ensure the proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of sleep study equipment to guarantee the collection of accurate data.
• Patient Care: Provide continuous monitoring of patients during sleep studies to ensure comfort, safety, and accurate data capture.
• Follow-up Care: Offer follow-up care and support to patients to ensure effective treatment and adherence to prescribed therapies.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of patients' sleep patterns, treatment interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with sleep specialists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in developing treatment plans for patients.
• Patient Education: Educate patients about their sleep disorders, treatment options, and the importance of adhering to therapy for optimal health.
  
  

Qualifications

• Credential: Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Sleep Technologist, with hands-on experience performing polysomnographic studies.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to assess and respond to changes in patient data during studies.
• Patient Care: Ability to assess and interpret patient data and provide follow-up care to ensure successful treatment.
  

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with current sleep study equipment and scoring software.
• Knowledge of common sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
