Salary : $25k
The PCA is responsible for providing health maintenance activities as outlined in individual service plans for people with disabilities. Responsible for the Ex. Director with the Personal Care Attendant Supervisor as immediate supervisor.
Principal Duties
Within the guidelines of the Its Your Home Care policies and procedures and individual service plans the PCA will / may :
- Assist in personal hygiene (for example, but not limited to toileting, dental care, hair care, make-up, assistance with menstruation cycle, incontinence, etc.) NOTE : partial or full nudity may be involved.
- Assist in changing from bedclothes to daywear and back to bed clothes at night.
- Assist with transferring from bed to wheelchair / shower and vice-versa when required.
- Assist with bowel and bladder routine as permitted by OLTL regulations
- Assist in preparing for and taking a shower / bed bath.
- Assist or complete household maintenance / chores.
- Assist or provide nutritious meal planning, purchasing and preparing foods and feeding.
- Assist in medication as directed by the consumer and outlined in the service plan.
- Must attend training.
- Turn and positioning as requested.
- Immediately report injuries or incidents.
- Report any consumer or PCA concerns to the PCA Supervisor .
