POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Director - Information Security is tasked with providing strategic leadership, guidance, and training to the community of companies. This role involves reviewing, implementing, updating, and documenting enterprise-wide information security policies and procedures. It includes managing security audits and conducting vulnerability and threat assessments, as well as directing responses to network or system intrusions. The position ensures compliance with legal and contractual information security and privacy mandates and provides executive management with compliance reports and audit findings.
Additionally, this Information Security expert must stay informed about industry security trends and developments, along with applicable government regulations. They are responsible for translating security policies and procedures into technical architectures, installing, monitoring, and maintaining system security solutions. The role demands a strong working knowledge of information security best practices.
Director - Information Security provides leadership for the team members supporting the enterprise security posture. This includes:
- Serving as the organization’s identified Information Systems Security Manager
- Monitoring systems and infrastructure security, responding to security incidents
- Leading security systems and infrastructure testing
- Ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of client and corporate sensitive data
- Preventing and detecting intrusion
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
- Ten or more years’ experience in information technology support or IT security with at least five years of experience in leadership and security field.
- Security certification such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate ownership of systems and drive the technology forward to the goals of the company. Direct involvement in the annual planning and budgeting process for Information Security.
- Exhibit clear and transparent communication skills while maintaining open lines of communication both internally and externally in order to foster trust and ensure alignment across community of companies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to nonpublic business, financial, personnel, salary, and technological information, plans or data.
- Ability to think analytically to solve technical problems individually and in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively plan, schedule and coordinate projects and meet deadlines, managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to analyze and communicate technology performance results. Specific experience working with our current primary technology and software preferred.
- Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
- Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
- Provide prompt, courteous and exemplary service to all customers, both external and internal, in accordance with ITA Group’s Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs. To demonstrate courtesy and professionalism, consistently providing a timely response, based on departmental guidelines, to every customer service inquiry.
