ITA is seeking a Journeyman UI/UX Developer to join the team in a hybrid capacity in Hampton Roads or the National Capitol Region.
Please note this position is contingent upon contract award, expected late Spring 2025.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented Journeyman UI/UX Developer to join our team and support the design and development of user-centric applications. The ideal candidate will have experience translating complex requirements into intuitive, engaging, and functional interfaces that enhance user experience. This role requires a balance of technical proficiency, creativity, and collaboration skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to identify pain points and improve design solutions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
- Collaborate with developers to ensure UI designs are accurately implemented and responsive across multiple devices and screen sizes.
- Implement UI components using front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) when necessary.
- Maintain consistency in branding, typography, and color schemes across all designs.
- Optimize UI designs based on user feedback, analytics, and A/B testing.
- Stay updated with UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design and development.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Experience with front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with design systems and component libraries.
- Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs to improve UI integration.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to UI/UX design.
- Previous experience in the defense or government contracting space.
Experience enhancing UI/UX in production planning systems
Experience enhancing UI/UX in quantitative visualizations using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
