ITA is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the team in a remote capacity in the National Capital Region.
Please note this position is contingent upon successful contract award expected Spring 2025.
Responsibilities
We are seeking motivated individuals and detail-oriented Senior Software Developers to join our dynamic team in the National Capital Region. As a Senior Software Developer, you will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions for various government and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to collaborate in a team-driven environment.
In this role, you will create, optimize, and manage software baselines to ensure system integrity, performance, and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, database administrators, and DevSecOps professionals, to develop robust and reliable solutions.
Design technical solutions to support a rapid, software development process in projects related to supply chain analysis, production line modeling, and process improvements
- Create baseline software and / or database products
- Collaborate with other developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions
- Modify and enhance existing software and / or database products
- Write and perform unit tests and peer reviews of technical products
- Troubleshoot, correct, and test code defects
- Participate in Scrum meetings and Agile software development processes
- Follow established government standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FISMA, NIST, CMMI, etc.) in software development and security practices
- Work within the team's development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to deadlines and project milestones
- Lead the team in briefing internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with maintaining and improving software deployment pipelines
