Job summary
The primary role of the Production Manager is to ensure optimal performance of production operations, encompassing physical safety, food safety and quality, efficiency and yields and other key performance indicators to delivery our products to our customers in a way that reflects our commitment to quality and safety. Bilingual - English/Spanish required. Fluency is required to perform the job duties.
Responsibilities
- Manages the daily production process of both liquid and dry rooms, including formula ingredient verifications, equipment inspection, procedural adherence, and staff management.
- Maintain alignment with FDA, FSMA, USDA Organic, SQF, Food Defense and Food Fraud requirements. Complete QMS documentation as required
- Mass printing of finished product labels once approved by required parties
- Complete or assist with production records and submit to within specified timelines
- Ensure plant safety through training, documentation, and implementation of GMPs and company SOPs. Stay up to date with industry safety standards.
- Oversee maintenance personnel; assist with equipment setup, production coordination of maintenance activities; be knowledgeable in machine operation
- Maintain and order parts for production printers and maintenance needs.
- Maintain a well-trained and motivated staff through excellent leadership and coaching skills. Coordinate with Director of Production and Production Leads to conduct reviews of employees to set goals and maintain accountability.
- Oversee staff timesheets
- Participate in leadership meetings to successfully drive forward company vision and values
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bilingual - English/Spanish required. Fluency is required to perform the job duties.
- At least 4 years’ experience in the field of Food/Beverage and/or production manufacturing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, inventory control, and production planning
- Knowledgeable on FSMA and FDA regulation is a plus.
- Ability to do mathematical calculations with precision and consistency.
- Strong oral and written communication- ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is a plus!
- Ability to work in fast-past environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as function effectively and comfortably as a multi-disciplinary team member where team results are considered more important than individual contributions.
- Experience with Third Party Food Audits is a plus.
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to work in wet environments
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
