Our client is seeking a DNS Administrator to take on a technical leadership role in managing their applications domain and corresponding systems. This position will play a crucial role in optimizing domain management, ensuring security, and enhancing SEO strategies.
Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Act as the technical lead for the applications domain and related systems.
- Prepare domain templates for brands, ensuring easy access when launching new brands.
- Search for SEO-friendly domain names to build private blog networks for targeted brands and search volumes.
- Manage the domain name portfolio across multiple providers, including Name.com, Namecheap, and GoDaddy.
- Ensure the security and privacy of domain names in line with company policies.
- Monitor market trends and acquire SEO-friendly domains at optimal prices.
- Track and purchase expired domains strategically.
- Communicate with domain providers and owners to secure the best deals.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
- At least 2 years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.
- Experience with SEO industry tools, including Google Analytics.
- Full understanding of domain redirection techniques (301, 302, 307, 308, 404).
- Knowledge of website URL structures (e.g., subdomains, addon domains, alias domains).
- Good understanding of Domain DNS records (e.g., Cloudflare).
- Proficiency in keyword research and data mining tools.
- Ability to perform competitive analysis within the industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large volumes of data.
- Familiarity with WordPress content management systems.
