What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Lead position at iTalent PLUS?
Reporting to the Test Manager, the Test Lead will be responsible for leading a team of Test Analysts to meet project objectives.
Involved in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) process, the Test Lead will oversee testing activities and drive continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate test planning discussions with Business, Technical, PMO, and QA teams.
- Mentor Test Analysts to follow testing best practices in alignment with the company's Test Strategy.
- Prepare Test Plans after discussions with the team and ensure they are reviewed and approved by the Test Manager and Client Service Delivery Manager.
- Identify the testing scope required for specific tasks based on requirement documents.
- Determine and schedule the necessary testing effort.
- Define quality metrics and continuously monitor results.
- Maintain test suites for Smoke, Functional, and Regression testing to ensure test environments remain stable and code functions as designed.
- Lead defect triage meetings, prioritize defects, and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plans related to testing.
- Prepare and distribute test run reports, test summaries, defect summaries, and test closure reports to stakeholders.
- Own test reporting and dashboard creation for testing activities.
- Identify skill gaps within the team and arrange relevant training sessions for Test Analysts.
- Plan and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for tools such as Test Reporting, Test Management, and Test Automation.
- Manage the day-to-day tasks and activities of the testing team.
- Participate in test activities related to complex scenarios.
Requirements:
Must Have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Testing.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet business objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Quality-driven with attention to detail.
- Proactive team player with mentoring skills to lead and motivate teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Experience in the payments industry or a strong understanding of payment systems.
Good to Have:
- A degree in Business and IT or an equivalent professional qualification.
- ISTQB certification.
- Previous experience in the payments industry.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management.
