Description
The Therapeutic After School Program (TASP) Staff is a member of the after school, vacation and summer programs. TASP Staff are responsible for providing a productive, interactive and safe environment for youth served. This position requires engaging with children through the following : planning, organizing, and leading therapeutic activities, collaborating with teammates regarding daily structure, and working with multi-disciplinary team members to create a safe and therapeutic milieu environment. TASP Staff members provide transportation for youth in our care via program vehicles. TASP Staff are responsible for providing the highest quality of care by implementing a nurturing, caring, safe and structured environment for children to thrive and succeed.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Programming :
- Assisting children with homework, life skills, mentoring, emotional support, on and off campus recreational activities
- Responsible for creating and participating in daily program schedule of activities, adapting as needed.
- Direct supervision and management of children at all times, in accordance with IHC Policy
- Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of the children / clients
- Provide and ensuring a safe and caring environment. Follow all safety and reporting procedures
- Provide behavioral and physical intervention in line with agency training and philosophy
- Responsible for cleanliness and appearance of the afterschool space and van
- Transport clients to and from the Program and to off campus activities using company vehicles
- Work collaboratively with others through professional interactions with coworkers, children and families
