We are seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to drive growth and expand our market presence in the office furniture industry. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, generate leads, build relationships with potential clients, and deliver exceptional customer service in both our showroom and through online channels. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Client Outreach:
Identify and target potential clients (corporate offices, co-working spaces, etc.) via cold calling, networking, and email outreach. Contact and visit potential customers as needed.
- Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Act as the main point of contact throughout the sales cycle and assist with layouts, estimates, and product recommendations.
- Sales & Product Demonstrations:
Conduct product demonstrations in the showroom or virtually, showcasing the features and benefits of the company’s office furniture solutions. Provide expert guidance on product options and customization.
- Market Research & Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify new market opportunities. Analyze customer feedback to enhance product offerings.
- Sales Support & Collaboration:
Assist the sales team with proposals, presentations, pricing, and negotiations. Work with the team to ensure customer satisfaction and support installations as needed.
- Warehouse & Showroom Support:
Ensure the showroom is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. Help maintain product knowledge and assist with the loading and unloading of trucks or containers, lifting up to 50 pounds when needed.
- Reporting & Documentation:
Track sales activities, update the CRM system, and provide regular performance reports to management.
- Customer Retention:
Develop strategies for retaining clients, upselling, and addressing concerns to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred). 1-3 years in sales or business development, preferably in luxury office furniture or interior design.
- Communication & Sales Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and effectively conduct product demos. Proven ability to drive sales and provide excellent customer service.
- Technical Skills:
Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and QuickBooks, Google Ads. Previous experience in high-end retail furniture sales is a plus.
- Bilingual Abilities:
English/Spanish bilingual preferred to assist a diverse customer base.
- Physical Requirements:
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and assist with loading/unloading furniture during installations.
Location:
In-person at the showroom, with occasional travel for client visits and installations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
