Position Title: Inventory Coordinator
Department: Supply Chain
Reports to: Supply Chain Manager
Position Type: Regular full-time
General Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining standard item master listing, participating in inventory management activities to ensure required inventory levels, and cost updating.
Essential Job Functions
1. Review, analyze, and create new items into JDE (Oracle product).
2. Responsible for ensuring standardization, record management, and auditing item files.
3. Coordinate weekly inventory cycle counts with all branches.
4. Review and process weekly stock adjustments.
5. Process item cost updating in JDE.
6. Attend weekly administrative meetings.
7. Interface with other departmental team members to solve problems that cross departments.
8. Other inventory, administrative, and clerical duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
2. Proficiency in Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, and/or PeopleSoft a plus.
3. Ability to interface with business partners and across departments.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges.
5. Ability to multi-task.
Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. 2-3 years of practical inventory management and/or purchasing experience a plus.
3. Warehousing experience a plus.
Other Requirements
1. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
2. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
3. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
4. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
5. Travel required: negligible
