Water Science Technolgies at company of Italmatch USA is seeking a Site Manager for its Miles City, MT location.
Description
This Site Manager manages the plant operations to meet the company's business, economic, and compliance targets and is responsible for setting tactical and strategic direction. This role ensures that operations conform to local, state, and federal governmental regulations, that all products are produced in accordance with specifications and expectations and executes initiatives to improve overall operational performance. The site manager sets the direction of the plant, obtains and prioritizes resources to serve customers, and meets the company's objectives.
What You Will Do in Your Role
• Ensure the safe operation of the facility, ensure environmental compliance, and be accountable for all aspects of the facility's operations.
• Responsible for ordering materials, scheduling production, coordinating product shipments, confirming product quality, supervising maintenance activities, and scheduling employees.
• Because this is a small operation, the Site Manager is expected to occasionally participate directly in manufacturing and maintenance activities.
• Ensure customers' satisfaction by delivering quality products on time while working closely with our transportation partners.
• Responsible for the overall safety performance of the site/plant
• Proactively identifies and corrects safety issues.
• Ensures site housekeeping meets company standards.
• Assure site compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Prepare site-specific safety, production, and maintenance procedures.
• Train plant operators
• Supervise plant operators to ensure efficient manufacturing – on time, budget, and quality.
• Ensure plant equipment is maintained per company policies.
• Coordinate maintenance contractors, order maintenance materials, and maintain spare parts inventories as required.
• Order maintenance and production supplies, prepare purchase orders, and complete electronic purchasing documents in the ERP system.
• Review production orders and arrange delivery of raw materials to meet production plan objectives.
• Interface with suppliers, transportation providers, and customers as needed.
• Will be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, chemicals, elevated temperatures, and workspace restrictions.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science-related degrees or five years relevant experience
• A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and mechanical aptitude skills
• Must know about pumps, valves, hoses, tanks, etc. as they relate to chemicals production.
• Practical written and oral communication skills
• Ability to act independently and on own initiative.
• Preferred experience in SAP or similar ERP systems. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Minimal travel required.
• Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Miles City, Montana 59301: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
