Job Summary : The Art Teacher will be responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the ability for creative expression in visual terms, developing aesthetic understanding and appreciation, and discovering and developing talents of students in the field of art
This is a 1.0 FTE position starting the 2025-26 school year
Required Qualifications :
Valid MN teaching license - Art preferred
Desired Qualifications :
Previous experience teaching art, especially to high school students
Enthusiasm and ability to motivate and encourage others
High levels of creative and organizational skill
Ability to adapt lesson plans for a variety of grade levels
Experience using a variety of mediums to create art
Ability to work and communicate well with others - staff, parents, children, etc.

ISD #118 - Northland Community Schools is a district in beautiful north central Minnesota, serving the communities of Outing, Longville, Federal Dam, Boy River and Remer.
