Job Title: Pool Concessions Attendant

Position Focus:
The employee is responsible for food preparation; maintaining a clean and safe work area, serving customers, handling cash and inventory supplies. Also responsible for stocking, displaying, preparing, serving and collecting payment for concessions sold.
Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of age, must obtain a working permit if under the age of 16 years old. Including but limited to: thorough knowledge of the Itasca Park District concession manual. Good knowledge of customer service, working with money and being able to take charge when necessary. Must have current CPR, First Aid, AED, and Food Handler certification before the first day of work.
Hours:
Employee is expected to be on duty whenever the need exists. Concessions hours vary throughout the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Opening/closing concessions.
2. Preparing food in a safe, clean and efficient manner.
3. Setting up equipment and supplies at the beginning of each shift. Report any needed supplies.
4. Cleaning designated work areas before, during and after each shift.
5. Completing all necessary daily reports, cash reports & inventory forms.
6. Reporting unsafe, hazardous conditions.
7. Rotating stock as necessary.
8. Handling customers in a friendly and polite manner.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Disinfects the concession equipment and area, as directed.
2. Performs product inventory weekly or as requested.
Requirements
Required Knowledge:
1. Basic understanding of concession operations.
2. Basic knowledge of money handling and making correct change.
3. Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.

2. Ability to correctly do basic math-adding, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
3. Ability to respond to inquiries and requests received from the general public .

2. Exposure to noise distractions from employees or equipment operation in adjacent work areas.
3. Infrequent exposure to cleaning materials and office supplies.
4. Capacity to work in a high stress environment under multiple deadlines and with frequent interruptions.
5. Ability to work extra hours to accomplish and complete high volume of work.
6. Exposure to various chemicals (i.e., cleaning materials and disinfectants) used in routine maintenance.
7. Exposure to chronic infectious disease while performing routine first aid or emergency procedures.
