Duties & Responsibilities
Client Service
• Support private bankers in performing various aspects of the relationship management initiative with their respective client base, and with their prospecting clients.
• Research, follow-up and resolve client inquiries and problems through effective interaction with clients, bankers, investors, product specialists, operations areas, and other staff in a timely and professional manner.
• Acquire a deep knowledge of the client base becoming an additional point of reference to clients for all matters related to the account management process including, but not limited to, account management, products, portfolio analysis and market information.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities, and escalate to bankers and product partners in order to close or provide advice to the client.
• Achieve high level of product knowledge, internal processes, and sales execution.
• Involve in executing clients instructions, performing account opening procedures, preparing and collecting documentation from clients in a timely and accurate manner.
• Responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and timely and accurate execution of clients´ instructions.
• Proactively monitor clients' account status and report for any irregularities.
• Act as a key contact, both external and internal, for clients' daily operational enquiries.
• Establish strong partnerships with other areas of the bank to ensure high quality service to all clients.
Control
• Review client documentation for completeness and accuracy as an initial quality check
• Follow closely all trades and perform accurate cash management to avoid unnecessary problems in the account management process
• Identify and act firmly to avoid or correct practices and procedures that do not comply with compliance standards or regulations
• Review daily trades, transactional activity, and end of month statements for an additional quality control to those being done by responsible areas
• Follow-up on trade execution (quality control)
• Analyze and resolve, under minimal supervision, client transactions or problems.
• Train to develop the capability of servicing the largest accounts or resolving the most complex problems
• Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act related principles, laws, rules and regulations, as well as Itau’s related policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• Series 7 required
• Three or more years of experience in client service, operations or private client relationship management support
• Advanced account administration procedures
• Superior knowledge of private banking products and services
• Solid knowledge of sales tools & applications such as Bloomberg, Olympic and MS Office
• Fluency in Spanish
• Excellent command of the English language
