JOB SUMMARY
Leverages advanced geospatial technologies to analyze, manages and visualizes complex spatial data, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting a range of projects. This role demands proficiency in GIS software, spatial analysis and data management, as well as a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Additionally, this position will primarily focus on ArcFM Fiber Manager data input, requiring knowledge in telecom networking and fiber installation practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilizes ArcFM Fiber Manager to manage and maintain fiber network data, ensuring accurate representation of fiber installations and utility network infrastructure.
Conducts analyses and generates reports using ArcFM Fiber Manager to support decision-making processes related to fiber network planning and optimization.
Collaborates with engineers and field technicians to integrate fiber installation data into ArcFM Fiber Manager, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate network representation.
Conducts sophisticated spatial analyses, including geoprocessing, network analysis and spatial modeling, to derive actionable insights from geospatial data.
Designs, develops and maintains geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy and efficiency. Creates and manages data schemas, relationships and metadata.
Develops custom GIS applications and tools using Python to automate workflows, enhances GIS functionality and optimize data processing.
Provides technical support to end-users, resolve GIS-related issues and offers training and guidance to ensure effective utilization of GIS tools and resources.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, GIS, or a related field or five or more years of related power utility GIS experience (in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree).
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in related area for an Intermediate level.
SENIOR LEVEL:
Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in related area for Senior level Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for geospatial application development and automation.
Knowledge of telecom or utility networking practices
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
Strong understanding of geodatabase design, spatial data and coordinate systems.
Ability to collect and enter data quickly, correctly, and efficiently.
Knowledge in interpreting surveys, maps, fabrication drawings and equipment details.
Demonstrates understanding of spatial data, algorithms, data integration and data conversion.
Preferred knowledge of the Bulk Electric System and its components.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments to meet established deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication and customer services skills.
