SUMMARY
Responsible for developing, implementing and enhancing HR policies to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the Company. This role requires a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects to create a work environment where employees can thrive.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partners with leaders to educate, interpret and communicate policies, procedures, programs and employment laws and assists them in complying with same; responds to related inquiries.
- Coordinates complex employee relations issues, in partnership with Legal and Compliance, including intake, conducting and documenting investigations of complaints or concerns and recommending and carrying out appropriate action based on investigation results in accordance with best practices and risk mitigation.
- Advises and coaches leadership on counseling actions and performance improvement methods; partners with leaders in creating accompanying documentation.
- Researches, recommends and implements new initiatives, programs, policies and procedures in alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
- Leads the research, design and delivery / training of critical HR processes; may include Affirmative Action, employment compliance with federal and state regulations, immigration, talent review, succession planning, performance management and goal setting.
- Creates and administers various HR plans, programs, initiatives and procedures.
- Assists in the creation of employment policies and organization guidelines.
- Administers and is continually improving various HR processes including unemployment claims processing, onboarding and offboarding processes, recruitment activities, student programs
- and company social events.
- Increases HR department efficiencies by recommending and implementing new approaches and best practices.
- Assists with the research, coordination and implementation of special projects as assigned.
- Keeps abreast of pending new or revised employment laws and makes recommendations for necessary change as applicable.
