Design And Verification Engineer

The Background:
Must understand supporting clients in day and night.
Storage, optics, network background.
Understand Test Automation, Scripting, VB, Perl and Python.
Scripting in Visual Basic, VB background.
5-6 years experience supporting operations role (open to lessor experience, potential to learn).
This is a support role. The development is done, they can learn while supporting existing product.

Ramp up time:
Initially, 2 months, come up to speed on site in Client afterwards they can support remotely OR open to the training in person, then going remote.

Technical Skills
Existing Scripts, MPI work is done.
Build home grown, custom framework from scratch,
Must have FPGA, Low level programming, Agile or Jira, process and changes in version control. They us Arena.
Use of diagnostics tools, using scripting commands in Perl and Visual Basic.

The perfect fit would be an engineer that is a combinatio of both Software and Hardware
in FPGA. SANs and NASs background.

The product:
Network transport control plane, pass traffic between the optics.
Data port, custom hardware, traffic detection.
Look back, loop back transfer the data packet drop.

Essential Functions:

· Define, develop, implement, and maintain highly effective manufacturing test processes to ensure product quality, minimize costs and reduce our time to market for new products.
· Validate the manufacturing test process on preproduction units and provide data to assess production readiness.
· Document test processes for new products.
· Perform test process gap analysis and drive continuous test improvement.
· Evaluate and optimize test coverage.
· Provide feedback to other engineering groups to get issues resolved.
· Reduce test cycle time by eliminating redundant testing and implementing efficient testing (test scripts optimization).

Requirements:

Background in electronics and electronics manufacturing, particularly around methods of device programming (including CPLD, FPGA, Flash memory, JTAG, system imaging, etc.).
· Experience using GUI-based programming tools and their ability to be controlled via CLI commands by a program or script.
· Scripting language experience (VB, Perl or Python) to support existing scripts and develop new production programming and test scripts.
· Experience with Visual Basic Script running in SecureCRT and developing scripts in Perl will be a plus.

Nice to haves

· Ability to specify/develop test-fixturing to aid in the testing of cards, PSU, boards, systems, and other electronic assemblies.
· Background in ICT, Boundary Scan (JTAG), and other automated functional testing techniques would be helpful.
· Demonstrated experience in test development for new products. Experience in test development, test support, and production data collection at remote manufacturing sites.
· Good understanding of BOM structuring and release processes using ECOs and deviations.
