The company is at an exciting inflection as we continue to expand our existing brand portfolio and deepen relationships with new and existing customers. The Production Planner is responsible for the coordination of incoming sales orders within the production capacity plan. Working closely with manufacturing, quality, and sales to manage a production schedule that ensures the delivery of products to our customers on time. The planner will also be responsible for closely monitoring daily production progress and leading regular communication of changes and priorities. They will work closely with production supervisors, sales teams, and other departments to communicate schedule updates, address production challenges, and resolve issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and communicate factory production schedule.
- Coordinate with operations and purchasing to obtain accurate delivery dates for new sales orders.
- Provide demand and capacity schedule for manpower planning.
- Create and monitor forecast versus actual inventory levels.
- Release and coordinate internal production work orders to support sales orders.
- Monitor and audit internal work order closure process for compliance.
- Determine material availability for production orders.
- Drive the timely picking and staging of inventory for production orders by warehouse personnel.
- Manage timely internal work order processing and audit process for compliance.
- Provide support and analysis for cycle counting adjustment and physical inventory activity.
Supplemental Duties
- Create and follow ISO type process instructions and procedures.
- Actively enforce company and procedures
- Provide subject matter expertise for software implementations and upgrades.
- Ensure the highest level of process compliance and accuracy are maintained for all activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Associate's degree
- Bachelor level college degree in business related subject area preferred.
- 3-5 years of production planning and scheduling experience
- Experience operating in an ERP system utilizing a work order process.
- History of working within a matrix type of organization.
