Senior RPG Programmer / Analyst

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
Support initiatives of company by providing programming support and analysis for software running on an IBM Power server utilizing the IBM i operating system.
Programming support involves expertise in maintaining/developing applications including process and database design.
While not an exhaustive list, expertise is required in the following programming languages / skill sets: RPG III, RPGLE, RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, CL, DDS, and SQL.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of ten year s experience with RPG programming in an IBM environment. Experience in the trucking industry preferred.
- Experience with SQL and EDI is favorable but not mandatory.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work in both a team and individual environment. Must be willing and able to take leadership role as well being able to fill a role of support.
- Ability to work required hours and travel if necessary.
