Role Description:
GIS Senior Developer with experience in .NET, ArcObjects, ArcFM, and Python to develop, enhance, and maintain GIS applications for enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for customizing GIS applications, developing geospatial tools, integrating ArcGIS with enterprise systems, and automating workflows. This role requires expertise in GIS development, spatial data management, and utility-based GIS solutions. Responsibilities and Skills: GIS Application Development:
Develop and enhance GIS applications using .NET (C#), ArcObjects, and ArcFM.
Design, develop, and implement custom GIS tools, widgets, and automation scripts to improve spatial data workflows.
Work with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Pro SDKs to develop geospatial applications.
Customize and extend ArcFM applications to support utility GIS requirements.
Implement geospatial data processing and analysis solutions using Python and ArcPy.
Develop custom workflows, geoprocessing scripts, and database automation for GIS operations. GIS Integration & API Development:
Integrate GIS applications with enterprise systems, databases, and third-party services.
Develop and maintain REST and SOAP-based GIS web services for system interoperability.
Utilize ArcGIS API for JavaScript, .NET Web API, and Python-based frameworks for GIS functionality.
Support GIS data migration, ETL processes, and automation of spatial data workflows. Spatial Data Management & Customization:
Work with geodatabases (ArcSDE, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) for spatial data storage and optimization.
Develop and manage custom GIS data models, spatial datasets, and geoprocessing models.
Perform spatial analysis, map rendering, and feature service optimizations.
Configure and maintain ArcFM database models and asset management functionalities. GIS System Support & Performance Optimization:
Troubleshoot and resolve GIS application issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges.
Implement best practices for GIS data governance, versioning, and database replication.
Collaborate with business analysts, GIS administrators, and utility teams to define and implement GIS enhancements.
Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required for the project
