Job Summary
The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting in various cardiac catheterization procedures and diagnostic evaluations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role will be based in a Level I Trauma Center, providing crucial support to the cardiology team.
Duties
- Perform cardiac catheterization procedures under the supervision of physicians
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations and interventional procedures
- Utilize medical terminology accurately during patient care
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure a sterile field during procedures
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry readings throughout procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a cardiac cath lab setting is preferred
- Familiarity with Level I and Level II Trauma Center protocols
- Proficiency in cardiac catheterization techniques and equipment operation
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to cardiology
- Ability to perform duties using aseptic technique
- Skilled in monitoring vital signs and telemetry accurately
Job Types: Contract, Travel nursing
Pay: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
