Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinic or hospital medicine, possess strong medication administration skills, and be knowledgeable in acute care settings.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians
- Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols
- Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to healthcare providers
- Assist in emergency room procedures and maintain accurate medical records
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform basic life support procedures when necessary
- Familiarity with Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems is beneficial
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice
- Experience in acute care settings preferred
- Proficiency in suture removal and wound care is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel for assignments if required
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
