Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong medical background to provide high-quality healthcare services.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to healthcare providers
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Utilize medical imaging and sonography as needed
- Perform tube feedings and other nursing procedures
- Work with patients of all ages, including children, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Previous experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Knowledge of outpatient care practices
- Familiarity with Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in ophthalmology or related specialties is a plus
- Ability to perform discharge planning effectively
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
