Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room of our Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by handling instruments, controlling bleeding, and suturing incisions
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their safety throughout the surgical process
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgical team
- Provide patient education on post-operative care and recovery instructions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Experience
- Previous experience in an Operating Room setting is preferred
- Proficiency in catheterization, medication administration, and acute care nursing
- Familiarity with procedures such as Mammography, alimentation, gastric lavage, Botulinum toxin treatment, and behavioral health interventions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Current RN license and BLS certification
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $67.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
